Bring along your favourite person and choose between a joint pottery lesson, and the Throwdown; a pottery lesson with a competitive twist!

A joint pottery class lasts two hours, so you'll each have two, half-hour turns on the potter's wheel. You'll be taught how to make a small bowl, as well as a taller vessel. At the end of your session, you can each choose a pot to keep aswell as a glaze colour. Ill trim and glaze your pot so that you can keep your pot forever.

During a joint pottery lesson, the emphasis is placed on each of you creating a lovely piece of pottery. You'll also learn the basic skills needed to make a little pot on the potter's wheel.  Your pots will need 6 - 8 weeks to be fired and glazed, after that, your two pots will be posted out to you!

The Throwdown lasts 3 hours so you'll both have three, half-hour turns on the wheel. You'll be taught everything you need to know to make a pot on the potter's wheel. During your first two practice throws, I'll be on hand guiding you through every step to ensure that you make at least one beautiful piece to keep.

During the final hour of The Throwdown, you'll each be given a whopping 2kg of clay compete to see who can complete the best piece! You'll have to centre the clay, grow your pot and form it all on your own, with only three chances to ask for help, whos ever chunk of clay looks the most like a pot is declared the winner!

You'll each get to keep your favourite piece. The winner will win everlasting bragging rights and can choose to keep an extra pot! It takes 6 - 8 weeks for your pots to be completed, so I'll post all three out to you once they're ready to go to there forever home.

Two very ambitious first time throwers m

We had a lovely and enjoyable morning with Isobel throwing our first pots. Really good fun and relaxing, particularly with the Mongolian throat warbling music as accompaniment!... Thanks! :)

Wonderful time spent together here, hands immediately on the clay and expertly guided to create bowls from our first sitting. Excellent fun, a joyful experience complemented by free flowing tea, music and dogs! Perfect vibe.
Thank you for sharing your studio and art practice with us.

Had an amazing time with Isobel at Sanity studios doing a throw down with my husband Peter. She’s a great teacher and made it a really fun experience. We had a fab time and brought some extra pots/bowls we made. Obviously I won the throw down due to her great teaching skills. Would recommend to anyone who wants to do something different and have a giggle! Would love to go back. 😁😁😁 Thank you 😊!

What should i wear?

Anything you like! You're more than likely going to get a fair amount of clay over your clothes. I will however, provide you with an apron. Don't worry about any clay on your clothes, simply pop your item in the wash and they'll come out just like new

Is there parking?

Unfortunately there isn't parking out side the studio. If you're planning to come to your pottery lesson by car, the nearest free parking is mid-way up Warminster Road.

How about jewellery?

You're not going to want to wear any rings or bracelets during your lesson. It's also a good idea to make sure your nails are reletivly short.

How do i pay?

You can either pay for your class online when you book it or, you can pay by cash or card after your class.
